NY Times: Raskin Tears Up as He Paints Picture of Haunting Sound and Siege's Fury
REBUTTAL BY
The made-for-TV clown show down in DC featured Jamie Raskin (D-MD -- cough cough) -- the lead Demonrat "House Manager" -- fighting back tears as he recounted the "harrowing" ™ assault of January 6th. From the article:
“Senators, this cannot be our future,” said Raskin as he fought back tears. He described being locked inside the House chamber while colleagues called loved ones “to say goodbye” and his own daughter and son-in-law feared for their lives nearby." (emphasis added)
Oy vey -- the bloody drama of it all! What's really weird about this sorry spectacle is that not only does it make Trump -- who is being falsely accused of inciting "the riot" -- into a martyr; but ultimately, the effort to convict him is doomed to fail anyway because an impossible 2/3 majority vote of the Senate is required to convict. As Senator Cruz correctly stated: “The result of this trial is preordained. President Trump will be acquitted.”
So, why are the Demonrats even bothering with such politically non-productive and even counter-productive nonsense -- which will fail and soon be forgotten just days after it's concluded -- over someone who is no longer even president? Perhaps because they figure it useful to keep the "far right" ™ bogeyman alive so they can -- in due time -- censor all opposing voices.

Made for TV drama with no meaningful purpose and already "pre-ordained" to fail.
The most disappointing aspect of this charade is the universal "consensus" ™ that a small handful of Trump supporters got out-of-hand and "rioted." The Demonrats argue that Trump is responsible for inciting them -- whereas most of the the Republican'ts counter-argue that such a small element of the crowd was neither indicative of Trump supporters nor acting upon on any "incitement" by Trump. Completely lost in the whole controlled "debate" is the real crime -- specifically this: The troublemakers were well-organized provocateurs sent in by the "Deep State!" But any such talk of false-flags and covert agents -- no matter how obvious -- is simply not permissible in polite company. That would be a "baseless" ™ and "debunked" ™ "conspiracy theory" ™ dontcha' know?
Republican't reluctance to engage in conspiracy theorizing is expected. Half of them are Deep State scum themselves; and most of the rest are pantie-wetting cowards who live in fear of what the Washington Compost might shit out on its Editorial Page about them. But what about the suddenly-silent Trump? He's usually not shy about expressing, or at least hinting at, "conspiracy theories" ™. Why isn't he calling these "rioters" out for what they really were? He has either been truly defeated and quit the fight, or, maybe there will be a trial surprise coming in the form of the disclosure of who it was that really orchestrated the "insurrection" of January 6th.
Although "The Editorial Board" of The Anti-New York Times does not expect the truth of January 6th to come out (does it ever?) -- we shall keep an eye on where this hyped-up farce of a "trial" is heading because the whole affair is so very suspicious.
