Oy vey! There is yet another "far right" ™ bogeyman rising again -- this time, the monster in question is said to be blowing "dog whistles" ™ of "anti-Semitism" ™ at the voters of Pennsylvania. Woof, woof, woof -- bark the "anti-Semites" ™ on Gubernatorial candidate's Doug Mastriano's inaudible command -- or so the "usual suspects" would have us believe.
Slimes scribbler Katie Glueck (cough cough) sounds the alarm for the non-canines -- a few excerpts, with rebuttals:
Glueck: The race between Mr. Mastriano, a state senator, and his Democratic opponent, Attorney General Josh Shapiro — a Jewish day school alum who features challah in his advertising — has also centered to an extraordinary degree on Mr. Shapiro’s religion.
Rebuttal: This is correct -- but it is Shapiro who -- for some odd reason -- is advertising his Jewishness -- not Mastriano.
Glueck: Mr. Mastriano, who promotes Christian power ....
Rebuttal: "promotes Christian power?" You mean, like, Mastriano wants to convert all non-Christians by force? Or bar non-Christians from holding office? Or maybe even torture non-Christians into being baptized in the name of Christ? (rolling eyes, sighing) --- I shouldn't joke. Some of these paranoid Jews actually believe exactly that.
Glueck: ... and disdains the separation of church and state,....
Rebuttal: The Jeffersonian term "separation of church and state" -- when properly read in the full context of Jefferson's Letter to the Danbury Baptists -- was clearly referring to his belief that the state should not restrict religious practice, nor establish a state church (like in England). But deceitful Marxists and libtards have twisted this quote in order to claim that religion -- and even the mere mention of a Creator or just basic morality -- must be abolished from not only the public sphere, but anything a degree of separation from the state's eyes and hands.
Glueck: ... has repeatedly lashed Mr. Shapiro for attending and sending his children to what Mr. Mastriano calls a “privileged, exclusive, elite” school, suggesting to one audience that it evinced Mr. Shapiro’s “disdain for people like us.”
Rebuttal: Mastriano never said that the school was Jewish. You people did!
Glueck: It is a Jewish day school. But Mr. Mastriano’s language in portraying it as an elitist reserve seemed to be a dog whistle.
Rebuttal: It seems to me that only "you people" possess the canine ability to hear these "dog whistles ™." Where can us goyim buy one of these special whistles? Are they available in regular pet stores? Cuz I'd sure like to blow your ear drums out with one of them.

....
Mastriano's actual comments -- uttered in the context of Shapiro's opposition to school choice initiatives -- which got the "usual suspects" all stirred up into their usual outrage were as follows:
"Shapiro grew up in a privileged neighborhood, attended one of the most privileged schools in the nation as a young man — not college, I’m talking about as a kid. .... He is now “sending his four kids to the same privileged, exclusive, elite school, $30-40,000 per pupil. We talk about him having disdain for people like us." (emphasis added)
Rather than apologizing, the dauntless Mastriano (a former US Army Colonel) then followed up on the "controversy." From the article:
“Apparently now it’s some kind of racist thing if I talk about the school,” Mr. Mastriano said at a recent event as he cast himself as a champion of school choice for all. “It’s a very expensive, elite school.”
The delightfully ironic twist to this whole affair is that the usual suspects -- never knowing when to quit -- have actually shot themselves in the foot. Had (((they))) simply ignored Mastriano's initial reference to the expensive school, the comment would have been limited in its reach and the "dog whistle" ™ would not have been heard by anyone. But by loudly moaning and groaning -- in a truly absurd manner -- over the pricey school's Jewishness; an accurate image of Shapiro as being a privileged rich Jew is being painted for the voters of Pennsylvania -- many of them "blue collar" Democrats -- to consider. That was not smart, politically.
Hmmm. Makes one wonder now if Colonel Mastriano may have baited this rat trap with a bit of kosher cheese for the reactionary usual suspects to walk right into. "Oy vey! Vee are being poisecuted!
If so, then well played, Colonel. Well played.
