Elisabeth Åsbrink is a rather manly-looking Swedish author and journalist known for several works of "non fiction" in the highly profitable genre of "anti-Nazism." Naturally, Sulzberger's Slimes would reach out to this nasty bitch to pen this nasty editorial pissing and whining about the rise of the "far right" ™ in -- of all places -- Sweden!
The good news (presented as bad news) from the article:

The Sweden Democrats Party was created in 1988 out of what Ms. Asbrink refers to as a "neo-Nazi group" called B.S.S., or Keep Sweden Swedish. Of the party’s 30 founders, 18 had what she refers to as "Nazi affiliations." According to one former party member, some of the founders had even served in Hitler’s Waffen SS during World War II -- a war in which Sweden -- despite the best efforts of Churchill -- maintained its neutrality. Of course, the party has long since shed its somewhat overt "Nazi" and "racist" image; but as far as we in our limited judgement from across the pond can tell, these folks seem like our kind of people.
The SD party is openly and aggressively anti-Fake News and (reservedly) Russia-friendly, anti-immigration and anti-Climate Con. Unfortunately -- due to political realities in this libtard-infested nation which gave us Greta Gloomberg Inc. -- the party does, out of necessity in a democrazy, publicly "acknowledge" the "Putin-bad" narrative and accepts that Climate Change is real -- just not catastrophic.

The SD Party had also, in the not-too-distant past, frequently mentioned holding a referendum that would have Sweden leave the European Union. Here too the Party has had to "moderate" its position. SD leader Jimmie Akesson told Reuters in an interview:
“We will not make any demands for leaving the EU or conducting a referendum. There have never been such great opportunities to change the way the EU is functioning from within as today.”
Is SD playing the long game of gradually neutering the EU (without upsetting the normies) until membership is of no great harm to member states? Or will this "far right" movement, constrained by having to operate in the libtarded mental asylum that is Sweden, be forced to "moderate" so much that it will eventually blend in with the right side of what is still the Left.
Oh well, baby steps, I suppose. ---- It is Sweden.
