Mikhail Gorbachev has died in Moscow. He was 91.
"Boomers" and older will recall the intense international wall-to-wall, "flood-the-zone" hype and hero worship surrounding his 1985-1990 stint as General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. What came to be known as "GorbyMania" was about as rabid as the "ObamaMania" of 2008.
Gorby's "Glasnost" & "Perestroika" reforms set in motion a series of revolutionary changes which dissolved the Warsaw Pact Alliance, transformed Eastern Europe, disintegrated the Soviet Union and opened up the disbanded republics to the coming reign of rapine by Harvard / Wall St. "experts" and internal Jewish "Oligarchs."
Fawning wide-eyed libtards pleasured themselves to images of St. Gorby the Peacemaker for having ended the post WW 2 Cold War and pulling the world back from the brink of President Ronald Reagan's nuclear confrontation -- while equally deluded conservatards (including a then 24-year-old me) passionately argued that it was Reagan's hard line which finally broke the Soviet Union and "won the Cold War" ™ for "the free world ™."

In reality, it was neither Reagan the Simpleton nor Gorby the Globalist who "won the Cold War ™." The Cold War was abruptly ended by the same Globalist Mafia which engineered it in the first place -- and cornball platitudes about peace ™, freedom ™, human rights ™ and democracy ™ had absolutely nothing to do with either its post-WW2 origins, or its dramatic "Fall of the Berlin Wall" ™ made-for-TV fairy-tale ending 44 years later.

After chopping up his country into smaller bite-size pieces for the Globalists, St. Gorby came to New Jersey to teach at Princeton's "prestigious Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. (*Old Woody's name was removed in 2020, due to his "racism.") // 2. As the countrymen he left behind were being plundered and starved, Gorby's memoirs were published by Doubleday of New York, in 1996. Ah, show us the shekels, Gorby. Show us the shekels.
It was hoped by the Globalists that the era of good feeling among the murderous and victorious ALL-LIES of World War 2 could be parlayed into a Soviet-USA-UK New World Order. Dreams of such a transition were soon dashed when it became clear that Stalin had no intention of bowing before the Globalist London-New York Axis. Rather than permit "democracy" to take hold in the occupied nations of Eastern Europe, Communist regimes were installed instead. Because a new war in Eurasia was out of the question -- (although Churchill wanted exactly that!) -- a "Cold War" of patient calculations, maneuvering and infiltration was waged instead. This "Cold War" -- falsely mass advertised as an ideological clash between "freedom" and communism -- would also serve the essential function of scaring the normies of the "free world" ™ into accepting massive "defense" spending, wars and proxy wars, and economic and political integration.
By the time Gorby the Globalist entered the "world stage" ™, the political foundations of the Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc nations (Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Albania) had been so weakened by the CIA / George Soros infestation that all it took to topple the whole structure -- and eventually swallow it into the EU/NATO system -- was a dependable traitor (or dupe?) like Gorbachev to do what Stalin would not -- specifically, surrender to the West. You see the paradox here? In order to enslave the already enslaved Communist East, the western Globalists had to "open" and "liberate" it first. And that, boys and girls, was what "the end of the Cold War" ™ and the manufactured "GorbyMania" were really all about.

In Putin's Russia, a large majority of the population regards St. Gorby as either a negligent fool, at best --- or a western wannabee traitor, at worst. Even in the immediate aftermath of his death, Russian TV News Shows were not kind to him. Putin himself, though respectful, expressed only brief condolences but uttered no praise for the man. Vlad the Bad is also denying Gorby a state funeral and will not even attend the private one. -- Yes indeed. These are bad times to be a Globalist!
It's difficult for "The Editorial Board" of The Anti-New York Times to definitively state whether St. Gorby was a weak, vain and naive pushover -- or a conscious traitor agent of the Globalist Deep State. Only high ranking Russian authorities would know for certain. But even giving him the "benefit" of such a doubt, this puffed-up asshole's name would still merit the stink which most Russians now associate it with.
We'll close this with a "kinder" assessment from Kremlin spokesman (Putin's "bad cop") Dmitry Peskov:
“Gorbachev gave an impulse to end the Cold War and sincerely believed that it will end and there will be an eternal romantic period between the new Soviet Union and the world, and the collective West as we call it. That romanticism did not work out. The bloodthirstiness of our opponents showed itself and it is good that we have realized and understood it in time.”
