NY Times: White Evangelical Resistance Is Obstacle in Vaccination Effort

One of the time-tested favorite tricks of the promoters of Fake News & Fake Science has always been to prop up "religious fundamentalists" as a Straw Man that can be easily knocked down. The bewildered normie witnessing such a "debate" invariably comes away persuaded by the high-sounding jargon of the fake scientists over the dogmatic religious ranting of someone who is able to say no more than: "Because my Bible says so."
-- Think, "Inherit the Wind."
We can easily spot this clever tactic in this propaganda piece about the "White Evangelical Christians" who are resisting vaccinations -- as if there aren't people of other races, other religions or no religion at all expressing skepticism over Stupid-19 and/or having second thoughts about the vaccines which have already killed or sickened a number of people!
From the Slimes article:
"Nathan French, who leads a nondenominational ministry in Tacoma, Wash., said he received a divine message that God was the ultimate healer and deliverer: “The vaccine is not the savior.”
Lauri Armstrong, a Bible-believing nutritionist outside of Dallas, said she did not need the vaccine because God designed the body to heal itself. More than that, she said, “It would be God’s will if I am here or if I am not here.”
The deeply held spiritual convictions or counterfactual arguments may vary. But across white evangelical America, reasons not to get vaccinated have spread as quickly as the virus.
The opposition is rooted in a mix of religious faith and a long-standing wariness of mainstream science, and it is fueled by broader cultural distrust of institutions and gravitation to online conspiracy theories. (emphasis added)

Oh just come out from behind your penthouse veil and say it, Sulzberger! You'd like to do to the "White Christians" of America exactly what your murderous Bolshevik antecedents in Russia did to the White Christians of Russia back in the day -- albeit a bit more humanely.

1 & 2. In the classic 1960 pro-Darwin propaganda film, "Inherit the Wind," the Straw Man case for "Evolution" was made by having the screaming lunatic character "Matthew Harrison Brady" (played by Frederic March) go into fits of madness. Notice that in image 1, he is holding a fan from a funeral parlor with a banner in the background reading, "READ YOUR BIBLE." // 3. The deranged Brady is offset by his legal adversary -- the calm, cool and collected Henry Drummond (played by Spencer Tracy) -- who presents the Straw Man case for Darwin by driving Brady into fits of screaming while quoting scripture. The men standing in the courtroom behind Drummond are presented as "respected scientists."
The shocking piece goes on to actually suggest that reluctant Christians are putting the lives of others at risk. This is pure hate propaganda coming from the same "paper of record" that called Trump "divisive!" From the article:
"The sheer size of the community poses a major problem for the country’s ability to recover from a pandemic that has resulted in the deaths of half a million Americans." (emphasis added)
But then there are the "responsible Christians" -- you know the type -- those "reasonable" Judas Goats who just love to virtue-signal before the Judenpresse which will always hate them anyway. Count on these groveling lukewarm types to capitulate every -- single -- time:
“If we can’t get a significant number of white evangelicals to come around on this, the pandemic is going to last much longer than it needs to,” said Jamie Aten, of Wheaton College, an evangelical institution in Illinois."
We then read that the Reverend Franklin Graham told his 9.6 million Fakebook followers that Jesus would advocate for vaccination. Pastor Robert Jeffress endorsed mass vaccination as being "pro-life." J.D. Greear -- the president of the Southern Baptist Convention -- tweeted a photo of himself getting a shot. And of course -- though he is not an Evangelical -- we have the Marxist Poop Frankie the Fake who has been "all in" on the Stupid-19 hoax from Day 1.
Beware of these wolves (or timid poodles) dressed in shepherd's clothing -- and always beware of the Straw Man Fallacies so often used to prop up Fake Science.
Boobus Americanus 1: I read in the New York Times today that White Evangelicals are putting all of us at risk because they don't want to get vaccinated.
Boobus Americanus 2: Do they believe that God wants us all to die from Covid?
***
St. Sugar: Ain't nobody died from thiss Boobuss! It'ss just the common frickin' cold!
Editor: I am starting to believe that Boobuss would actually slit his own wrists if the talking heads on TV told him to do so.
