As part of the glorious $1.9 TRILLION "stimulus" ™ package recently signed into law by someone purported to be Joe Biden (long story, still in progress) -- Marxist manna from hell is already spouting up upon Americans again -- this time in the form of $1,400 "stimulus" ™ checks for individuals earning less than $80K per year, and $2,800 for couples below $150K, plus an additional $1,400 for each dependent. And the bewildered boobs -- as described in this article and affirmed by our own personal observations of and conversations with some local normies -- are luvin' it.
From the article:
"Johanna Suarez, a 21-year-old sophomore at Houston Community College, said she received her $1,400 payment on Saturday morning. She plans to use some of the money to buy books for school and pay for a dental procedure to remove her wisdom teeth.
David Gordon, 40, used some of his payment to donate $400 to a charity organization that supports cyclists. He also spent about $250 on plants at a garden nursery after a recent winter storm destroyed the ones in his yard.
Lilliana Cardiel, a 48-year-old supply chain manager at the University Medical Center of El Paso, said she received her payment Saturday. She put the $4,200 — which she received for her daughter, grandmother and herself — toward her savings account for emergencies. “I’ve been saving all of my stimulus checks,” Ms. Cardiel said. “It’s money I can count on.”
*
Aw ... Isn't that special? Maybe for the next go-around, we can print up a $10 Trillion package? Or how about a Quadrillion? Mein Gott! If the German Wiemar Republic of the 1920's was able to do it, why can't we?

Speaking of 1920's Germany, it was during that time of monetary madness that the up & coming rebel who would go on to become "The Great One" (that's Hitler for youse newbies and normies") made the following critical observation:
"What good fortune for rulers that men do not think." --- To which we would add: "and that they do not calculate numbers either."
Long division calculators -- which actually require no mathematical skills whatsoever to operate -- are just a click away on the Internet. By dividing $1.9 Trillion by 330 million Americans (or just using the estimated 160,000,000 actual workers), Boobus Normie, if he had even just one ounce of personal initiative, would instantly realize the enormity of the fraud being perpetrated upon him and his children. You see, boys and girls, that $1,400 "relief" check that's got some folks so excited comes at a staggering cost of about $12,000 per working taxpayer (1,900,000,000,000 / 160,000,000) -- to be gradually paid back in the form of future taxes, higher inflation, wage stagnation, reduced MediCare services (hence, more hospital murders), higher Medicare deductibles and co-pays, reductions in Social Security benefits (real dollars / post inflation), and more "shrinkflation" at the food market. What a deal, eh?
1 & 2. Come on, Boobus -- you do have a frickin' calculator, dontcha? // 3. It's like Abbott & Costello's classic "give me two tens for a five" comedy routine: "I have a great investment for you, Costello! You give me a measly $12,000 -- plus future interest & inflation -- and I'll pay you back a whopping one-time tax-free stimulus check for $1,400."
Today's state of economic ignorance is appalling. Though the type of deceitful plunder characterized by the recent "stimulus" ™ has been going on for a long time; it has never been so bloody enormous and transparent -- and yet so "new normal-ish" ™ in the minds of normies. In the belief that "tis better to light a candle than to curse the darkness" -- let us close with a handful of candles lit by our favorite 19th Century economist and philosopher, Frederic Bastiat of France.
* “The state is that great fiction by which everyone tries to live at the expense of everyone else.”
* “When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.”
* “Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place.”
* “The most urgent necessity is, not that the State should teach, but that it should allow education. All monopolies are detestable, but the worst of all is the monopoly of education.”
* “Slavery, protection, and monopoly find defenders, not only in those who profit by them, but in those who suffer by them.”
* “There is only one difference between a bad economist and a good one: the bad economist confines himself to the visible effect; the good economist takes into account both the effect that can be seen and those effects that must be foreseen.”
